The world’s most valuable company soared to a new peak, and the latest superhero blockbuster has landed in theaters.

NVIDIA recently became the first publicly traded company to reach a $4 trillion market capitalization , a milestone driven by soaring demand for its AI chips and its central role in powering large language models and data centers worldwide.

Verisimilitude redux

Superman , the latest update to the iconic superhero franchise, was released on Thursday . The film, starring David Corenswet (pictured below), was written and directed by genre veteran James Gunn, a driving force behind the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as The Suicide Squad of the DC Extended Universe .

Happy birthday, Wole Soyinka

Sunday marks the 91st birthday of Nigerian writer and activist Wole Soyinka , who was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize for Literature —the first Black African to win the prize. Although Soyinka, a prolific author, is primarily considered a playwright , his works of poetry and prose are every bit as celebrated as his plays. He has long been a proponent of Nigerian democracy and his decades of political activism include periods of imprisonment and exile.
