I'm very likely going to send this phone back

What I love: Yes this phone is fast, has good specs, has a very clean android experience. I'm sure the photos are great too, but I'm not a big photo user.

What I hate! The Battery Life is bad. Like have to charge in the middle of the day. Also the finger print reader can only unlock the device maybe 50% of the time. I wear sunglasses a lot so falling back to face unlock is a pain.

I came from a Motorola G7, which was a phone from 2019, and cost like $199. Battery could last like 48 hours with very normal usage. The finger print reader never failed. I would love to go back to a Motorola, but they do not offer enough updates, and security patches for their android devices. Maybe I'll go to Samsung? God forbid iPhone?

4.0 out of 5 stars I make and receive calls on Verizon network. However the Visual Voicemail app would initially not finish activating. One Verizon support tech said it was because the device is not supported. A tier-two Verizon tech later said the device *is* supported, but there's a Verizon Visual Voicemail app bug that affects devices in some cities. My case was escalated for software fix.

UPDATE: Verizon fixed the bug. The Visual Voicemail app finished activating. I can now select, hear, or delete individual voicemails from a dropdown list.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was looking for a new phone but knew I didn't necessarily want a Samsung or iPhone but the Google has been becoming popular more and I had already tried a Google pixel 4a and loved it. This is a great phone it is like a perfect mix of a Samsung and iphone combined. It is not to big or small and the quality of everything is on point. The camera is my favorite because my pictures turn out so good. The phone is very customizable and easy to use!

Images in this review Was promised in ad $50 Amazon gift certificate with purchase. Never received it and Amazon customer service just keeps saying it's in the mail. Phone is slow, has mediocre battery life and camera picture quality is poor.
