海棠超薄挖箏是由台灣張鳳桐先生髮明之作，它是將傳統挖箏與海螺共振原理結合併研製出海棠古箏獨有的“繞樑之聲”技術，海棠挖箏與國內挖箏最大的區別在於薄，輕，便攜，因為有“繞樑之聲”的存在讓他在聲音上也別具一格，他的高音亮而不干，低音混而不糊，琴聲出來的空靈感彷彿置身於仙境一般，讓人沉醉其中。

超薄旋切挖筝由台湾张凤桐先生发明之作,他是将传统挖筝和旋切挖筝结合，并利用声学原理研制出“绕梁之声”，让古筝比传统古筝薄很多，但同时声音也格外明亮，低音区也能发出虎啸般的声响。

张凤桐先生的发现

海棠超薄挖箏是由台灣張鳳桐先生髮明之作，它是將傳統挖箏與海螺共振

传统的挖筝厚、重、不便携等多项缺点!。更有一部分挖筝时间稍长，弦钉板处会出现松动，这两个问题一直存在，但一直没有被解决!关于厚不便携的解决方法及过程:

超薄挖筝一开始按照传统挖筝技术，将原木13公分的厚度压缩为10公分左右，慢慢发现用传统手法去挖还是达不到张凤桐先生理想的厚度。

2017年11月在一次技术交流会中偶然接触到了悬切技术，这让张凤桐先生欣喜若狂，试若让悬切技术引进到古筝里面。因为悬切挖筝与以往的传统挖筝有技术上的区别，中间经历过很长一段时间的技术障碍;在整体厚度反复打样76次;扣板声音测试1460次;琴弦反复测试17次。终于在不断摸索中，超薄挖筝终于诞生，这也奠基了古筝界悬切技术的诞生，突破了传统挖筝以往的厚、重、不便携等多项缺点!

关于部分挖筝弦钉板容易松动的解决方法:弦钉板松动也是一部分挖筝会出现的问题，海棠古筝为了解决这个问题，特意将悬切挖筝里面安装一个专门固定弦钉板的木架，让弦钉板即使长时间受力也不会出现松动。

同时也因为这个木架的原因让音色也有了变化，让声音变得很小，这让张凤桐先生再次陷入技术上的难题，在2018年的3月份偶然的机会下张凤桐先生看到了海螺扩音的原理，张凤桐先生突发奇想，要让这种原理运用到悬切挖筝上面，经过一年多反复的实验，“绕梁之声”终于在2019年4月确定研制成功。

海棠古筝在不断的摸索中发现因为“绕梁之声”的诞生也解决了一部分挖筝高音不亮的一大难题，“绕梁之声”也开辟了悬切挖筝的先河，让科技与传统再次得到完美的融合!
