十九年前，没有人想过古琴这种高山流水的乐器，可以与摇滚乐联系在一起。因为古琴与现代器乐演奏有太多不一样了。本是两件冰火不相容的事物，他们却做到了两者完美的碰撞与结合。

四个低调得像隐匿于尘世的贤人侠士的人

沼泽的音乐就像在讲述陈年的旧事

但他们并非追求中国古典美学的返璞归真

相反现在听各时期的音乐都很前卫实验性

《时光倒流》沼泽

古琴的声音时空感很强，沼泽将传统的古琴进行电声化处理，电子鼓、键盘及多种效果器的运用，为其附加了一份天地辽阔的迷幻色彩。

著名文艺片导演娄烨的电影《浮城谜事》用了沼泽的《惊惶》（片尾曲）、《1911第一回》、《1911第二回》，以及《入梦令》（主题曲）作电影配乐。梦里不知身是客，吉他音墙作为背景，古琴宽广的音域，深沉的音色，和它悠远的余音，每一次拨动都仿佛是将外界逐渐诗化的过程，听者脑中浮现的故事感油然而生。

沼泽乐队四个人在一起十九年了，

但依然在不断的探索，尝试并实现。

除了研究古琴与当代摇滚乐已有十余年的沼泽主创海亮，其他成员也各身怀绝技。吉他手细辉在吉他内置了一个电子延音的系统，可以单手弹奏无限长音，能替代一些像吹管或者弦乐的那种声音。贝斯手阿来用的是一个五弦贝斯，加了一条高音弦，可以像吉他一样去演绎一些很丰富的和声。鼓手海逊是海亮的弟弟，他把旋律性很强的钟片琴跟套鼓组合在一起演奏。

Even in the worldwide Rock field, the Chinese band Zhaoze is the one and only in its own style. Combining Guqin, the most traditional Chinese string instrument which has a long history of thousands years, with Post-rock, Progressive-rock, Ambient, Classical and more, so completely and thoroughly, by its own ways,like that splashing the ink of the moods and feelings of Chinese landscape painting into its blood, Zhaoze makes up a unique imaginative sound spectrum, to provide a touching, dreaming and beautiful poetic world.

Zhaoze is usually classified as Post-rock, but it is more complicated than that. Hoyliang, the leader of Zhaoze said: “There's two definitions of Post-rock: one be just narrowly defined to a mainstream style of such as those bands Mogwai, EITS and so on; and the other one be more broadly defined to describe all the overturning innovations of the traditional rock.

Zhaoze's music perhaps belongs to the latter.”

Hoyliang has done a lot of innovations on Guqin playing, like using effect pedals, trying special fingerings, or even playing Guqin with cello bow, and more. Other mates have their secret weapons too: Littledream’s guitar is installed an ebow system, Roy’s 5 strings bass sends to bass and guitar amps simultaneously, Seasean plays drums and glockenspiel as a whole set, etc. Zhaoze also plays other instruments, such as Xiao, a kind of Chinese flute, melodica, keyboard, and so on.

Fantastic, impressive and passionate live performance is also a trademark from Zhaoze.

The name of Zhaoze means Swamp in Chinese, is an analogy of human's nearby nature until the home of spirit - our innermost secret. Both of them are similar in some ways: fixed yet mobile; ruined yet vital. This could be another explanation to Zhaoze's music.
