猴耳天坑
(Monkey Ear Tiankeng) is a huge doline which is part of Monkey Ear Tiankeng Scenic Area with trails and caves.
It was lately renamed
开阳石围奇宫
(Kāi yáng shí wéi qí gōng) and was equipped with a zip line and other climbing and bunge jumping activities.
It has now transformed from a place of tranquility to an extreme sports mecca.
The so-called
Super Swing
was installed for 40 days in 2018 and it became the uber-hype.
In this short time 4,000 people experienced this ride.
Hundreds of videos uploaded, thousands of likes, more than 100 million views.
The result were 13,000 booking for the next season.
The tiankeng is entered from the nearby parking lot through a river cave.
The cave is more or less a show cave, but the main sight is the huge doline, so we listed it as a tiankeng.
The cave is well developed with an elevated path high above the river and colored light.
But finally the floor of the huge doline is reached, with plants growing on the huge boulders and 280 m high limestone walls on all sides.
From here three more parts of the cave can be visited.
