Games.

The new Games app brings together all the games you have on your Mac. In the Game Overlay, you can adjust system settings, chat with friends, or invite them to play — all without leaving the game. And for developers, Metal 4 brings even more advanced graphics and rendering technologies, like MetalFX Frame Interpolation and Denoising.

Messages.

Create polls and personalize conversations with backgrounds. Redesigned conversation details feature designated sections for contact info, photos, links, location, and more. Typing indicators in groups let you know exactly who is about to chime in. Screening tools detect spam and give you control. Requires that your iPhone, with an active carrier plan, and Mac are signed in with the same Apple Account, your iPhone and Mac are near each other, signed in to FaceTime with the same Apple Account, have Wi-Fi turned on, and are connected to the same network. An external microphone or headset is required for Mac Studio, Mac mini and Mac Pro.

Available on Mac computers with Apple silicon and Intel-based Mac computers with a T2 Security Chip. Requires that your iPhone and Mac are signed in with the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication, your iPhone and Mac are near each other and have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on, and your Mac is not using AirPlay or Sidecar. Some iPhone features (e.g., camera and microphone) are not compatible with iPhone Mirroring.

Apple Intelligence is available in beta on all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad and Mac models with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to the same supported language, as part of an iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia software update. Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified). More languages are coming over the course of the year, including Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.

Live Translation in Messages is available in Chinese (Simplified), English (UK, U.S.), French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (Spain) when Apple Intelligence is enabled on a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac, as well as on Apple Watch Series 9 and later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 when paired with an Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone.

Live Translation in Phone and FaceTime is available for one-on-one calls in English (UK, U.S.), French (France), German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (Spain) when Apple Intelligence is enabled on a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Genmoji and Image Playground are available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish when Apple Intelligence is enabled on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
