Linguistic typology is to compare many languages of the world and classify its components based on formal features to find the universality and diversity of languages. Language typology is different from contrastive linguistics in that it targets specific languages such as Chinese and English, English and Japanese German.
In this lecture, I will explain the main features of so-called isolating language, agglutinative language and inflectional language. Also explain the languages of China and Russia I have studied from the viewpoint of language typology.
