Caravaggio exhibition - extended from Monday, July 7th to Sunday, July 20th.
The exhibition will be open from Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 10pm and from Thursday to Sunday from 9am to midnight.
The exhibition will be closed to the public on Wednesday 9 July.
From 7 July, the exhibition will remain unchanged in its sections and contents, with the sole exception of the painting The Musicians (1595-1596), which will return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, from 9 July, due to previous institutional engagements
The remaining 23 works of Art , from public and private, Italian and international collections, will exceptionally remain on display for another two weeks, as will the possibility of visiting the Casino Boncompagni Ludovisi until 20 July with a special ticket linked to the exhibition: a unique opportunity to explore the visual revolution of Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio (1571-1610).
Reservations and ticket availability
Tickets will be bookable online starting Monday, June 30.
To ensure a smooth and secure experience, access to the online ticket office will be regulated by a virtual queue, which allows for the orderly management of a potentially high number of users.
- Schools and accompanied groups (8-25 persons): maximum 25 tickets per day of visit
- Accompanied mini-groups (3-10 persons): maximum 10 tickets per day of visit
- Individual visitors: maximum 9 tickets per day of visit
Each customer may purchase a maximum total of 25 tickets per day of visit, independently of the type chosen (individuals, groups/schools, mini-groups).
Bookings exceeding the indicated limits will be cancelled. The relevant tickets will be put back on sale in the respective boxes.
Any tickets not purchased by schools, groups and mini-groups will be put back on sale as individual tickets.
EXHIBITION TICKET:
1 admission on the day and time specified by the mandatory reservation
INTEGRATED TICKET from 03/07/2025 to 07/06/2025:
1 admission to the Caravaggio 2025 exhibition on the reserved day and time, and entry to the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica (valid for 20 days from first use to visit Palazzo Barberini and Galleria Corsini).

the exhibition “Caravaggio 2025” will extend its opening hours to offer an evening experience to the public.

With the conclusion of school activities, from Monday 3 June, access to the exhibition will also be extended to individual visitors on Monday mornings.

NOMINATIVE TICKET:
The ticket is nominative (except for schools).
At the time of purchase, each visitor must enter their personal data.
At the entrance it is mandatory to show an original identity document together with the ticket.
Access will be denied if the data on the ticket do not match the identity document and in this case no refund will be provided.
A single name change is allowed for tickets purchased online or through the call center

Accessibility
CLOAKROOM
It is mandatory to deposit large bags and backpacks and umbrellas. Trolleys and luggage are not allowed.
ACCESSIBILITY
Entrance without architectural barriers. The entrance of dogs, even small ones, is forbidden, except for guide dogs accompanying visually impaired people or unless a pet therapy certificate is presented.
For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed inside the exhibition. They can be left in the designated area outside the museum.
