Overview

• Like BEJ48, the first members were transferred from SNH48 5th and 6th generation.
• Since GNZ48 is not part of AKB48 Group their team names followed the order of SNH48's existing teams, creating Team G, Team NIII and Team Z.
  • Team NIII's name follows after NMB48 's Team N and SNH48's Team NII .
• The group is also known as "Beginning girls" (初心女孩 Chūxīn Nǚhái ).

Differences from sister groups

• Unlike the rest of the SNH48 Group , GNZ48 is the only one that regularly sings in a different language, Cantonese.
• As of 2022, it is the only SNH48 sister group that has not had any changes in its team structure.
• In addition to Teams G, NIII and Z, they also have special teams called "Class": Class 4 and Class 8. These classes were created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic . Due to the high absence of members the teams were incomplete, so the creation of these special teams gave new opportunities in presentations.
• It is the only group that has a trainee selection , similar to AKB48 's Kenkyuusei Selection .
