普渡大学博士后,南开大学统计系博士,兰州大学本硕。曾先后访问宾州州立大学、佐治亚大学。研究兴趣包括试验设计、添加次序试验、计算机试验、工业统计、数据质量管理、应用统计等。在European Journal of Operational Research、Technometrics、Statistica Sinica、Information Sciences、Computers & Industrial Engineering等国内外权威期刊上发表论文多篇。
